Stephen Berkeley White is a London based photographer whose work mixes creative portraiture with dance photography and fashion editorial.
Having once been a professional dancer, Stephen often uses elements of movement across different photographic forms, including the use of dancers in fashion work and personal art projects.
In 2005 Stephen studied photography at London College of Communication, a UAL school of visual arts and design, before joining Amberroom Studios in West London, as a junior photographer and studio assistant under Phil Conrad.
His four years at the studio gave Stephen a strong grounding in architectural and commercial photography which still influences his location work.
Stephen also learned a huge amount from his assistant work with the UK's leading dance photographer Chris Nash, a friend from his career in Contemporary Dance and a great influence.
Stephen has been an independent photographer for over 10 years and has recently made forays into film making. He has been published and exhibited in the UK and Europe.
He also has a yellow cowboy shirt and writes about himself in the third person.
